We are an international class that is very common worldwide. In Europe there are the largest fields in Germany and Northern Europe. 25 nations with over 100 ships are usually represented at the World Championships. But even in Germany we are mostly not among us nationally.
2.4er sailors are usually less beginners, but come from many different boat classes. You have experience in dinghies or in keel boats. They have sailed kites or O-dinghies, H-boats or Finns, thick ships or Opti. There is also a wide range of age groups from under twenty to over seventy.
We are the only sport in the world in which very different people can compete against each other with absolute equal opportunities! This applies to people with and without handicaps, but also for women and men, for long and short, for heavy and light weights.
